Whypark is now free

Now that Whypark allow you to point unlimited domains at them for no fee, many more have been uploaded. I also notice that auto-optimized domain keywords are now generated even if you do not enter any keywords.

One of the biggest potential sources of traffic to your site is Google. Google will give a higher ranking to sites that have many backlinks, especially if the sites that link to it have good PageRank. So how do you get such backlinks. One way is to find relevant blogs and post comments there. However if the blog has the NoFollow attribute set, you won’t benefit from the backlinks.
I use two tools to help me find suitable blogs that do not have the nofollow attribute set and that have good Pagerank.
Firstly, I installed the Quirk Searchstatus addon into Firefox. It shows the PageRank and the Alexa rank of the site you are visiting and on top of that, it can Highlight all NoFollow links on sites you visit. You can download it here. To set it to highlight NoFollow links, right click on the small icon that appears at the bottom right of the Firefox window.
Secondly, I use the following search engine to find blogs that have NoFollowlinks: TheyFollow
A few more hints:
- Make sure the blog posts you comment on are relevant
- Wirte something relevant and useful in your comment
- Try to comment on recent posts in the blog
If you have any other hints, please leave a comment here.

I have now used Whypark to create a new site: http://adjustableglasses.com. I registered this domain because of innovative work by a visionary scientist who created “One-Size-Fits-All” adjustable glasses. These are adjusted by the user themself until they can see clearly. The scientist was definitely visionary in more than one sense of the word.

I had an idea for a new kind of product — a digital photo t-shirt. You can read about it here:

I created this web-site together with my nephew and it uses quite a nice template.

1. Firstly go to the Google keyword tool at:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
2. Then enter the keywords you have in mind where it says:
“Enter one keyword or phrase per line:”
3. Leave the “Use synonym” box checked.
4. Type in the characters you see in the picture.
5. A little higher up you will see following: “Results are tailored to English, United States Edit”
Change the language or country if appropriate.
6. Click on “Get Keyword Ideas”
Search results, the terms you entered, plus other similar ones will then be listed.
7. Now, this is the bit, I didn’t know about
Under and to the right of the “Get Keyword ideas” button, click on “Choose columns to display:” and select the “Show estimated average CPC”
This will open a column in your results display of the costs per click.
8. Above that column is a box with a title above it that says” “Calculate estimates using a different maximum CPC bid:”
Here you can select a different currency if required. Type a large number such as $100 in the box and you will see the highest paying keyword bids.

I found the following interview: http://www.dnkitchen.com/estibot-interview/
Here is a quote (I hope he doesn’t mind), I think it is the most relevant part of the interview to people thinking of developing domains:
Q. What strategy(s) do you use? Parking, Flipping, Full Development or Mini-Sites? Maybe another I am missing.
A. I’m always developing. I start with parking to monitor the revenue and type-in traffic potential. I park at Sedo and Parked.com and the ones that make decent parking revenue, I leave parked initially, but the ones that don’t make money, I develop to the point where they start making just a small profit. Then I move on to the next domain name. This way I make sure that I don’t have domains lying around causing losses. But if a domain makes money by just being parked, I won’t touch it unless I have a big idea for it. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Usually I start the development with mini-sites of about 4 to 5 pages. Out of the developed mini-sites, I’m planning to take to another level the ones that perform well as mini-sites. So it’s a three step process for me, 1. park, 2. develop mini-site and 3. full development. My goal is to have every single domain name in my portfolio making a small profit. That’s when they become attractive to buyers as well.
Keep in mind that generic dot coms are always the best because they will always have a trickle of traffic, regardless of how you do in the Google SERPs.

The following are all services where they will develop a small web-site for your domain name
aeiou.com
evolanding.com
noparking.com
domainspa.com
estibot.com
Some are more well known that others. Has anyone tried any of these?
What criteria can be used to decide which one to use for which domains?
